Granola bars offer a delightful balance of chewiness and crunch, making them the ideal snack for busy days or a quick breakfast. Packed with wholesome ingredients like oats, nuts, and a hint of sweetness, these homemade treats are not only nutritious but also incredibly customizable to fit your taste.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup nut butter (almond or peanut)
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, or sunflower seeds)
  • 1/2 cup dried fruits (raisins, cranberries, or apricots)
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix rolled oats, chopped nuts, seeds, and dried fruits until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together honey (or maple syrup) and nut butter until smooth; microwave briefly if too thick.
  4. Pour the wet mixture over the dry ingredients and stir until fully incorporated.
  5. Spread the mixture in the prepared baking pan and press down firmly.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool completely before slicing into bars.
