- 4 cups low-sodium chicken broth
- 1 large onion, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 carrots, diced
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup frozen green peas (optional)
Instructions
- Sauté diced onion and minced garlic in a skillet over medium heat until translucent.
- Layer turkey breast at the bottom of your slow cooker. Top with sautéed onions, garlic, diced carrots, rice, thyme, salt, and pepper. Pour chicken broth over the top.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until turkey is tender and easily shredded.
