  • 1 lb lean ground turkey
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1-inch piece fresh ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by mincing garlic and ginger. Measure sauces and sugar.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add sesame oil and then the ground turkey. Cook until no longer pink (about 5 minutes), breaking it apart.
  3. Add minced garlic and ginger; cook for another minute until fragrant.
  4. In a bowl, mix ketchup, soy sauce, brown sugar, and cornstarch. Add to the turkey mixture.
  5. Simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes until thickened.
  6. Garnish with green onions before serving over rice or noodles or wrapped in lettuce.
