Ingredients

  • 8 oz wide egg noodles
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 cup full-fat sour cream
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your favorite blend)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil (olive or vegetable)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat cooking oil over medium heat. Sauté chopped onions until translucent, then add ground beef and cook until browned.
  3. Stir in garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix in cooked egg noodles until well combined with the beef mixture.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream and half of the shredded cheese.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Top with remaining shredded cheese.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
