- 8 oz wide egg noodles
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 cup full-fat sour cream
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your favorite blend)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp cooking oil (olive or vegetable)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, heat cooking oil over medium heat. Sauté chopped onions until translucent, then add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Stir in garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix in cooked egg noodles until well combined with the beef mixture.
- Remove from heat and stir in sour cream and half of the shredded cheese.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Top with remaining shredded cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
