  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb ribeye or sirloin steak, sliced against the grain
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Slice the steak against the grain and season generously with Cajun seasoning.
  2. Cook fettuccine in salted boiling water until al dente; reserve some pasta water before draining.
  3. In a skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat and sear the steak strips for 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce heat and add more butter along with minced garlic; sauté until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream while stirring continuously.
  5. Once thickened (about 5 minutes), mix in grated Parmesan until melted smoothly, then toss in cooked pasta and reserved water as needed.
  6. Fold in seared steak until well combined; serve hot garnished with fresh parsley.
