  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup buttermilk (or 1 cup milk + 1 tbsp vinegar)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts between plastic wrap and pound to an even thickness of about half an inch.
  2. Marinate the chicken in buttermilk mixed with salt and pepper for at least one hour or overnight.
  3. Set up a breading station: whisk together flour and garlic powder in one bowl, and beat eggs in another.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet until it reaches about 350°F (175°C).
