- 1 ripe Camembert cheese
- 150g thick-cut lardons
- 200g all-purpose flour
- 3 large eggs
- 200ml whole milk
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a round baking pan.
- Sauté lardons in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Set aside.
- Slice Camembert into chunks and add to the skillet just before removing it from heat to soften slightly.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, beat eggs with milk and mix into the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Gently fold in the sautéed lardons and melted Camembert mixture.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
