Description

Indulge in the creamy, savory delight of Camembert Lardons Cake, a perfect blend of rich cheese and crispy lardons. This easy-to-make dish is ideal for brunch or as an appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ripe Camembert cheese
  • 150g thick-cut lardons
  • 200g all-purpose flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 200ml whole milk
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a round baking pan.
  2. Sauté lardons in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Set aside.
  3. Slice Camembert into chunks and add to the skillet just before removing it from heat to soften slightly.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. In another bowl, beat eggs with milk and mix into the dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the sautéed lardons and melted Camembert mixture.
  7. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
