Green Velvet Cake is a show-stopping dessert with a moist texture and rich flavors, adorned with creamy frosting. Perfect for any celebration or simply to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Ingredients

  • All-Purpose Flour
  • Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • Granulated Sugar
  • Baking Soda
  • Buttermilk
  • Vegetable Oil
  • Green Food Coloring
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Eggs
  • Cream Cheese Frosting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and a pinch of salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix sugar and vegetable oil until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, followed by buttermilk and vanilla extract.
  4. Stir in green food coloring to achieve your desired shade. Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Allow cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to wire racks. Once cooled, spread cream cheese frosting between layers and on top.
