  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the ground beef, panko breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until just combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for about 20 minutes or until browned and cooked through.
  5. While meatballs bake, heat marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat until warmed.
  6. Assemble the sub by placing several meatballs in each roll, topping with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
