  • 1 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 cups sweetened coconut flakes (toasted)
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Remove from heat and whisk in granulated sugar and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Allow to cool slightly, then whisk in eggs one at a time along with vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, mix cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  6. While baking, toast coconut flakes in a skillet until golden brown. Once brownies cool slightly, drizzle with caramel sauce and sprinkle toasted coconut on top.
