  • 8 hotdogs (beef, turkey, or plant-based)
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 1 medium sweet onion (diced)
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream (or Greek yogurt)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup bread crumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Cook pasta in boiling water until al dente; drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté diced onions until translucent. Add garlic powder halfway through.
  4. Stir in sliced hotdogs and cook until browned.
  5. In a large bowl, combine cooked pasta, hotdog-onion mixture, tomato sauce, sour cream, seasonings, and half of the cheddar cheese. Mix well.
  6. Transfer to the baking dish and top with remaining cheese and bread crumbs.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
