- 8 hotdogs (beef, turkey, or plant-based)
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
- 1 medium sweet onion (diced)
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 cup sour cream (or Greek yogurt)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup bread crumbs
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Cook pasta in boiling water until al dente; drain and set aside.
- In a skillet over medium heat, sauté diced onions until translucent. Add garlic powder halfway through.
- Stir in sliced hotdogs and cook until browned.
- In a large bowl, combine cooked pasta, hotdog-onion mixture, tomato sauce, sour cream, seasonings, and half of the cheddar cheese. Mix well.
- Transfer to the baking dish and top with remaining cheese and bread crumbs.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
