  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust for heat preference)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper to create the spice blend.
  2. Pat the chicken breasts dry and drizzle olive oil over them. Generously rub the spice mix onto both sides of each breast until fully coated.
  3. Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until it’s very hot.
  4. Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until a blackened crust forms and the internal temperature reaches at least 165°F (74°C).
  5. Allow the chicken to rest for five minutes before slicing. Serve with your favorite sides.
