- 2 large eggs
Instructions
- Warm the milk to about 110°F (43°C) and dissolve yeast and sugar in it; let sit until foamy.
- In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add melted butter, eggs, and yeast mixture. Mix until shaggy dough forms.
- Knead on a lightly floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm spot until doubled (about 1 hour).
- Meanwhile, brown the butter over medium heat until golden; stir in chopped sage.
- Punch down dough, divide into small balls, and dip each ball into the sage-infused butter before placing in a greased baking dish.
- Cover rolls and let rise again until puffy (about 30 minutes). Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.
