- 3–4 pounds pork shoulder
- 1 medium onion, coarsely chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 2 tsp chili powder (adjust to taste)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Trim excess fat from the pork shoulder and cut it into large chunks. Pat dry with paper towels.
- In a bowl, combine chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Rub the seasoning all over each pork chunk.
- Place chopped onions and minced garlic at the bottom of the crockpot. Add seasoned pork on top and pour in the orange juice.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours until meat is tender.
- Shred the pork with two forks; optionally broil for 5 minutes for crispy edges.
- Serve in tortillas or on plates topped with fresh cilantro and your favorite salsa.
