  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 ½ cups shredded carrots (freshly grated)
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Instructions
