Ingredients

  • 1 pound ribeye steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, sliced
  • 8 ounces provolone cheese (or Cheez Whiz)
  • 4 hoagie rolls

Instructions

  1. Slice ribeye steak against the grain into thin strips. Slice onions and bell peppers.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add oil and sauté onions and bell peppers until caramelized (about 5-7 minutes).
  3. Push veggies aside and add ribeye steak to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper; cook until browned (about 3-4 minutes).
  4. Combine veggies with steak and layer provolone cheese over the top. Cover briefly until melted.
  5. Preheat broiler to high. Slice hoagie rolls open and toast for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Spoon the steak mixture into each toasted roll and serve hot.
