  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 3 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp honey (or maple syrup)
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • Sliced green onions

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken: In a bowl, whisk gochujang, soy sauce, minced garlic, and honey until smooth. Add chicken thighs and coat well. Cover and marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat grill or oven: Heat your grill to medium-high (400°F) or preheat your oven to the same temperature.
  3. Cook chicken: Remove chicken from marinade and let excess drip off. Grill each side for 6-7 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  4. Prepare garnishes: Toast sesame seeds in a dry pan over medium heat until golden. Slice green onions.
  5. Serve: Transfer cooked chicken to plates. Drizzle with any leftover marinade and top with sesame seeds and green onions.
