- 12 oz ziti pasta
- 24 oz marinara sauce
- 15 oz ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- 1 lb ground beef or sausage (optional)
- 1 cup water
Instructions
- Gather all the ingredients. If using meat, brown it in the Instant Pot on sauté mode until fully cooked.
- In a bowl, combine ricotta, half of the mozzarella, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Add half of the marinara sauce to the pot, followed by half of the uncooked ziti and half of the cheese mixture. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients.
- Pour in 1 cup of water over the layers; do not stir.
- Close the lid and set to manual high pressure for 5 minutes. Allow natural release for 5 minutes before quick-releasing any remaining pressure.
- Sprinkle remaining mozzarella on top and close the lid for 2 minutes to melt. Serve hot with fresh herbs and extra marinara if desired.
