  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup whole milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
  3. Beat softened butter and sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy (3-5 minutes).
  4. Add eggs one at a time with vanilla extract; mix until combined.
  5. In another bowl, combine half the batter with cocoa powder to create chocolate batter.
  6. Alternate spoonfuls of vanilla and chocolate batters in the prepared pan.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean; cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
