Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder.
- In another bowl, beat the sugar and eggs until fluffy, about 5 minutes; mix in the vanilla.
- Gently fold in the melted butter followed by the flour mixture, being careful not to overmix.
- Chill the batter for 30 minutes in the fridge. Grease a madeleine pan and fill each mold three-quarters full with batter.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden brown and springy to touch.
- Allow cooling slightly before dipping half of each madeleine into melted dark chocolate on parchment paper. Garnish with sea salt flakes if desired.
