  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup diced bacon or pork belly (optional)
  • 1/4 cup okonomiyaki sauce
  • 2 tbsp Japanese mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. Chop the cabbage and green onions.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour and water until smooth. Stir in cabbage, green onions, eggs, and season with salt. Add bacon or pork belly if desired.
  3. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with oil.
  4. Pour half the batter into the pan, spreading it into a circle about one inch thick. Cook for about four minutes until golden brown on one side.
  5. Carefully flip the pancake and cook for another three to four minutes until crispy on the other side.
  6. Serve hot, drizzled with okonomiyaki sauce and mayonnaise.
