  • 8 slices brioche or challah
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups whole milk (or almond/oat milk for dairy-free)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups Honeycrisp or Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Cut the bread into thick slices and arrange them snugly in a greased baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla until smooth.
