  • 8 oz sashimi-grade salmon
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 4 nori sheets
  • 2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions (finely chopped)
  • Pickled ginger (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until clear, then cook according to package instructions until fluffy.
  2. Dice the salmon into small cubes. Mix with soy sauce and sriracha for seasoning.
  3. Cut nori sheets into 3-inch squares and mold them into small cups using muffin tins or by hand.
  4. Place a spoonful of sushi rice into each nori cup, pressing down lightly to form a base.
  5. Top each cup with the seasoned salmon mixture, adding more sriracha if desired.
  6. Garnish with diced avocado, sesame seeds, green onions, and pickled ginger.
