- 2 cups water (for cooking sago)
- 1 can (13.5 oz) full-fat coconut milk
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust based on strawberry sweetness)
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, chopped
Instructions
- Rinse sago pearls under cold water until clear. In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add the sago and cook for 10-15 minutes until transparent, stirring occasionally.
- Drain the sago in a fine mesh strainer and rinse under cold water to remove excess starch.
- In another saucepan, combine coconut milk with sugar over low heat, stirring until dissolved; do not boil.
- Mix chopped strawberries with a little sugar in a bowl and set aside.
- Layer cooked sago in serving bowls, pour warm coconut sauce over it, and top with macerated strawberries.
- Chill in the fridge for at least one hour before serving.
