Ingredients

  • 2 cans (15 oz each) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 6 slices thick-cut pork bacon
  • 1 medium onion, finely diced
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté the diced onion in reserved bacon grease until soft.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine kidney beans, sautéed onions, crumbled bacon (reserve some for garnish), ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well.
  5. Pour into a baking dish and cover with foil. Bake for 30 minutes.
  6. Remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes until bubbly.
