- ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 1 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Fresh cilantro (optional)
Instructions
- Whisk together soy sauce, garlic, ginger, lime juice, honey, olive oil, and black pepper in a bowl.
- Pierce the flank steak all over with a fork to enhance marinade absorption.
- Place the steak in a resealable bag or shallow dish, pour the marinade over it, seal tightly, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for optimal flavor.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (400°F).
- Remove the steak from the marinade and discard it. Grill each side for about 5-7 minutes until cooked to your desired doneness.
- Allow the steak to rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing against the grain into thin strips. Serve warm with cilantro if desired.
