Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 2 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 8 small flour or corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup sour cream or guacamole
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace by gathering all ingredients and tools.
  2. Heat a griddle over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and sprinkle with taco seasoning. Smash down flat with a spatula.
  3. Cook undisturbed for 3-4 minutes until crispy edges form.
  4. Warm tortillas on another skillet for about 30 seconds on each side until soft.
  5. Assemble tacos by spooning smashed beef into warm tortillas, then layer with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and sour cream or guacamole.
