This indulgent burger combines rich flavors and textures, making it a satisfying choice for brunch or lunch. With customizable toppings and quick preparation, it’s the ideal dish to help you bounce back after a night of fun.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 lean-to-fat ratio)
  • 4 slices thick-cut bacon
  • 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
  • 4 brioche or pretzel hamburger buns
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded
  • 1 medium tomato, sliced

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients: Chop lettuce, slice tomatoes, and get onions ready for sautéing.
  2. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy (about 5 minutes). Drain on paper towels.
  3. Sauté onions in the remaining bacon fat over low heat until golden brown.
  4. Shape ground beef into patties larger than buns, season with salt and pepper, and cook on a hot grill or skillet for about 4 minutes per side.
  5. In the last minute of cooking, place cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.
  6. Assemble the burger: Layer lettuce and tomato on the bun bottom, add the patty with sautéed onions and bacon, top with a fried egg, and cap with the bun lid. Serve hot.
