  • 2 tbsp culinary-grade lavender (dried)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar (for the frosting)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (room temperature, for the frosting)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (for the frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with paper liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder; set aside.
  3. In another bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add honey and mix well.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in milk.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Fill each cupcake liner two-thirds full with batter and bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool completely before frosting with buttercream made from creamed butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla.
