  • 3 cups cooked ziti pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and sauté the diced chicken until golden brown and cooked through (about 7-10 minutes).
  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for an additional minute. Pour in the marinara sauce and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  4. While the sauce simmers, cook the ziti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  5. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  6. Combine the cooked ziti with the chicken mixture and half of the mozzarella cheese in a large bowl.
  7. Transfer to the greased baking dish, top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, then bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
