  • 8 oz spaghetti or rice noodles
  • 45 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, honey or maple syrup, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, warm the sauce for about two minutes.
  4. Add the drained noodles to the skillet and toss to coat well.
  5. Stir in chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
  6. Plate and enjoy hot, optionally topped with extra sesame oil.
