- ⅓ cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 cup warm milk (110°F/43°C)
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 1 tsp salt
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1 cup fresh strawberries (sliced)
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and 1 tsp sugar; let sit until frothy (about 5 minutes).
- In another bowl, mix flour, remaining sugar, and salt. Combine melted butter and eggs with yeast mixture, then gradually add dry ingredients to form a soft dough.
- Knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Place in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot for about an hour until doubled.
- Roll out dough into a rectangle about half an inch thick. Spread cream cheese evenly over the dough.
- Scatter sliced strawberries on top, then sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Roll tightly from one end to another.
- Slice into pieces about two inches thick and place cut side up on greased baking trays.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Let rolls rise again for about 30 minutes before baking for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
