Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 8 ounces pasta any short pasta like penne or fusilli
  • 1 pound ground beef preferably lean
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for cooking beef
  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
For the Topping
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped

Method
 

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic and ground beef to the skillet. Cook until the beef is browned, breaking it up with a spoon, about 7-10 minutes.
  4. Stir in Italian seasoning and beef broth. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Reduce the heat and stir in heavy cream. Allow to simmer for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the creamy beef sauce.
  7. Serve hot, topped with grated parmesan cheese and chopped parsley.

Notes
