Ingredients
  

For the Filling
  • 12 jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup fresh spinach chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 salt salt to taste
  • 1 pepper black pepper to taste
For the Sauce
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese for topping

Method
 

Prepare the Pasta Shells
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Make the Filling
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add minced garlic and chopped spinach to the skillet. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until spinach is wilted.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in ricotta cheese, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until well combined.
Stuff the Shells
  1. Generously stuff each cooked pasta shell with the beef and cheese filling.
Assemble the Dish
  1. Spread half of the marinara sauce on the bottom of a large baking dish.
  2. Place the stuffed shells in the baking dish, and top with the remaining marinara sauce. Sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
Bake
  1. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  2. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Serve
  1. Allow the dish to cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your hearty beef-stuffed pasta shells!
